Our Story
Before Keturah lost her big brother (John L. Standberry III), he advocated for the skaters community to establish a skate park in Gulfport, MS. One man’s dream sparked; and (August 2019) Fun Times Skatepark opened for the skaters community to have a place of their own. Unfortunately, when John passed (February 2019), the Fun Times skatepark was gone too.
However, his little sister never lost sight of his mission. Even though Keturah did not skate, she promised to find a way to connect his mission to her purpose for community wellbeing.
Through her family’s 501c3, New Dawn Media Network, a public Christian broadcasting for the Mississippi Gulf Coast, her role as Operational Officer (2021-current), allowed her to ignite Big Brother Project; a current sublet for community service through the nonprofit.
On January 5, 2025–Keturah and her two long term associates launched The Big Brother Project LLC social support service that plan and manage social responsibility projects that make a real difference in communities.
The Big Brother Project LLC is a social support service LLC dedicated to implementing social initiatives that boost community support and development efforts. Its mission is to spread awareness and build advocacy through unique projects for causes relevant to the community. The Big Brother Project LLC is present to serve the community while making a positive social impact for Mississippi and so on.
This social support service highlights relevant causes, such as God’s purpose for His people, basic need security, educational growth, and environmental sustainability.
The Big Brother Project LLC partners with businesses, nonprofits and individuals to enhance social responsibility efforts. Our goal is to promote social advocacy, and fuel client's brand equity— boosting their reputation, visibility, customer engagement, and consumer perception.
